Goodbye aGov

The time has come to close the book on our government Drupal distribution, aGov. We are no longer actively developing sites using aGov, and instead are focussing our efforts on the new GovCMS Drupal 8 distribution. Here’s a short history of aGov and how we got to this point.

Web Directions Summit: The Ethics of Design

Web Directions covers a lot of ground when it comes to design and technology conferences within Australia. Right now they have seven conferences targeted towards designers, developers, leadership, product and culture.

Web Directions Summit is the big one — it's their conference that brings the whole team together. This year it was held in Sydney at the fantastic new International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour.

aGov for Drupal 8: First Alpha Release

Since 2012, PreviousNext has been developing and maintaining the aGov distribution for Drupal 7. aGov provides a means for Australian Government organisations to meet their accessibility and security obligations with free and open-source software hosted on the platform of their choice.

In the last few weeks we have been working on the Drupal 8 version, and are happy to announce today the first Alpha release!

In this post we share some of our experiences developing a Drupal 8 distribution.
