With a vision to create an online "Neighbourhood of knowledge" that brings together practical, informative, and inspirational content, Directories Group, turned to PreviousNext for the user experience design and Drupal development of their newest site, homeheaven.com.au.

Challenge

Directories Group engaged PreviousNext to design and build the homeheaven site on a Drupal CMS platform, requiring a responsive theme that was user-friendly and aesthetically appealing. As a content-driven site, homeheaven needed a platform from which they could provide commercial solutions to home and lifestyle brands and also grow an online community of engaged and loyal members.

Solution

A significant aspect of this project was to consider a reusable platform for future Directories Group sites, and to develop a suitable Drupal platform onto which the legacy beautyheaven website could be migrated. Taking the lead in guiding the information architecture and visual design approach, PreviousNext then developed a responsive mobile theme for the homeheaven site, creating a visually enticing destination that engages its audience with rich content and functionality. The inclusion of Apache Solr search, an enterprise-class search tool with sophisticated capabilities, enables users to connect with the right content with greater ease and efficiency.

Outcome

PreviousNext deployed the the homeheaven site on time and within budget. Post-launch, the engagement between the Directories Group and PreviousNext continued in the form of support to the homeheaven technical team with enhancements and updates. Directories Group was bought by Bauer Media in early 2015.
